Our Personal Training Staff is available to help start you on an exercise program or evaluate your current one. 1 on 1 or group training available. Personal Fitness Training
$47 per hour members, $57 short-term memberships, $70 per hr non-members
$32 one-half hour (members only)


$415 for ten full hour sessions members

Group Personal Training
2 in group, $24 per person, per hour
3 in group, $16 per person, per hour
4 in group, $12 per person, per hour
Members only. This is a great way to get the personalized attention of a personal trainer at an affordable price. Gather your friends and get in shape together!

Personal Training Staff

Wellness Director Lisa Tweedie has worked at the Y for 12 years. She is AFAA certified and also holds AFAA.s Group Exercise and Step Reebok certifications. In addition to personal training, Lisa leads cycling and aerobic classes. Her specialty is adapting exercise programs to meet an individual’s needs.

Becky Carroll Becky Carroll is new to the MDI YMCA, but has volunteered for many events like the annual Half Marathon. She is a YMCA certified Personal Trainer, and already has a loyal following with MDI YMCA’s“Fit Kids” participants. Becky has a Masters Degree in Physical Education and has over fifteen years experience teaching children and adults. She also has been coaching track and cross-country to adults and children for twenty years. Becky currently coaches Cross Country at Conners Emerson and is the MDI Head Track & Field Coach. An avid runner for thirty five years, Becky competes in local and national running events and was even awarded All American honors during her college running years. Ashley Stanton is a YMCA certified Personal Trainer. When she isn’t training people of all ages, she is teaching indoor cycling, bootcamp and other fitness classes. Ashley is an elite cyclist and has competed in many regional cycling races. She can help with cycling techniques and strength training to improve outdoor riding performance.
