After School Program . . .

The After School Program
Grades K-6, Monday-Friday
Five-Day Program (Mon. - Fri.)
Three-Day Program (Mon., Weds., Fri.)
Two-Day Program (Tues., Thurs.)

The YMCA After School Program provides children a safe, enriching environment from the end of the school day until the end of parents’ workday and during school vacations. Kids have an opportunity to interact with peers as they experiment with art projects, enjoy nutritious snacks, receive homework help and play in sound indoor and outdoor environments. Free Swim and games in the gymnasium are incorporated into the weekly program.

Children from Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Elementary schools are transported to the program from school by YMCA bus and school bus free of charge. Children may also register separately for other YMCA programs while in the After School Program. The childcare staff will get them to and from programs as long as the program ends before the end of the childcare day, 5:30pm. YMCA Membership and registration fee required.
